Okayama Castle
Built by Ukita Hideie and completed in 1597 under the guidance of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, Okayama Castle is also known as “Ujo” (Crow Castle) due to its black exterior walls. Though it was destroyed during World War II, its exterior was restored in 1966. Inside, there are historical exhibits, a Bizen pottery experience corner, and you can take photos while riding in a palanquin. The castle is also beautifully lit up at night during special events.
